Welcome. I’m Roger Johnson, and I am running for Associate Judge in Boone County. My experience, commitment to our community, and deep respect for the rule of law have prepared me to serve the public on the bench.
Every person who enters a courtroom deserves to be treated with dignity, heard fairly, and judged impartially. I am running to ensure our courts operate with the integrity and efficiency our community expects and deserves.
The Right Experience
An effective judge must have a deep and broad understanding of the law. For years, I have been working in the legal system, handling the very types of cases that come before an Associate Judge. My qualifications include:
- 20 years of legal experience right here in Missouri.
- Comprehensive Background: Experience in Prosecution, Criminal Defense, Family Law, Civil Litigation, giving a balanced perspective on the diverse issues facing our courts.
- Perspective: having worked on all sides brings understanding of the justice system from multiple viewpoints.
Commitment to Fairness
A judge’s role is not to create law, but to apply the law fairly and consistently. My judicial philosophy is simple: listen carefully, work diligently, and follow the law.
An appearance in court is the only interaction most people have with the justice system, and building respect for the courts and rule of law requires that all participants are treated fairly and with dignity.
